Things that go bump in the night

Last week I spoke about the Earth Meditations I do of an evening. One of the most beautiful ripple effects from these has been my ever deepening connection with animals. One night in 2018, I went out for my evening Earth Meditation. It was a clear sky, beautiful stars twinkling down, and I settled on my meditation blanket and dropped into a very deep meditation. One of the things I notice about these Earth Meditations is the stillness that comes over me. Even though in human time I spend only 10 to 30 minutes on the land, the stillness makes it feel like much more time has passed. This particular night, I sank very quickly into stillness. I was sitting,...

Sink or Lift

Finding your perfect spot for meditation In 2018 I started meditating outdoors, mostly of an evening. I use a headlamp to give me light while I find the perfect “spot” on the land that’s calling me, as it’s not always the same place. I set up a blanket and cushions, then I settle down for 10 to 30 minutes of free falling. I don’t attempt to meditate. I simply close my eyes, and allow myself to go wherever I need to. Lifting Of The Veil

Unveiling an Ancient Symbol There is a symbol in our world that is so profound, it’s often overlooked. Isn’t that the way with Ancient Wisdom? It’s buried right in front of our eyes, just waiting for us to see it. Tens of thousands of people notice it, and walk right past. They observe only an object, and nothing deeper. Are you combustible?

In 2007, Noel and I moved to a small country town in regional Victoria. It was a lifetime away from the oceans of the Sunshine Coast where we’d previously lived.  People often asked us why we’d chosen this town “of all places”, and the answer was simple. We’d fallen in love with a home that was for sale. That home called our hearts, and much like the best romance novels, it inspired us to move across two states to be with it. “Kooyim” was the name of our home. It was built in 1904 during the Gold Rush era, and had magnificent 12 foot ceilings, chandeliers, beautiful wooden floors….even its very own wine cellar. We’d lovingly renovated it from...

The Art Of Distillation

Many years ago, a very great man called Gary Young was traveling through France.  Gary is now recognized as the father of the modern-day essential oil movement, and the founder of Young Living Essential Oils. But in those days he was a passionate young man who had first-hand experience of the power of therapeutic-grade essential oils.  He realized that almost all essential oils on the market were either heavily adulterated, or produced in a way that compromised their powerful action. He had a dream to establish an aromatic plant farm, and to produce a quality of essential oil that has never before been possible on our planet.  In those early days Gary was very much an apprentice, thirsting for knowledge...
